Painter, architect, and sculptor of the Pre-Renaissance era, Giotto di Bondone (or simply Giotto) is the founder of the Proto-Renaissance.
A great artist and talented entrepreneur, Giotto became the founder of the Italian school of painting and the founder of Gothic/Proto-Renaissance, he had introduced his unique technique to show the depth of the colour, volume, and space. In creating depth and drama in his paintings he paved the way for the future artists of the Renaissance. Later his works inspired the greatest artists like Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci.
